Policies and expectations
These summaries explain how the tutoring service works in practice: payment, cancellations, missed lessons, refunds, feedback and support. They are summaries, not replacements for the full Privacy Policy and Terms. Where a rule is still being finalised, this page says so instead of inventing one.
GAMSAT Plus currently provides founder-led, one-on-one tutoring for GAMSAT Section 2 (Written Communication). The service includes private lessons, review of written work submitted for those lessons, lesson summaries with next actions, and access to a student portal for submissions and feedback. It is not a self-paced course, a group class, a tutor marketplace or an automated marking product.
Tutoring arrangements are agreed individually after a consultation. The format, inclusions and total amount are confirmed with you in writing before any payment is requested. Payment is currently made by manual bank transfer, and payment is confirmed by GAMSAT Plus before paid lessons begin. There are no automatic charges, subscriptions or stored card details.
After an arrangement is agreed you receive the transfer details together with a unique payment reference. Using the reference lets your payment be identified and confirmed. Confirmation is done manually by the founder, so allow for ordinary bank processing time. If a transfer is delayed or mislabelled, contact support and it will be reconciled manually — you will not lose an agreed place because of a bank delay you flagged.
Lessons can be rescheduled by arrangement, and reasonable notice is expected so the time can be reused. The exact notice period and any limits on repeated rescheduling are confirmed as part of your written arrangement before you pay. Until those terms are in your arrangement, no specific cancellation window is promised or implied on this page.
If you miss a lesson without notice, the lesson time is generally lost, since it was reserved exclusively for you. Genuine emergencies are treated with common sense and discussed directly. How missed lessons interact with a package is confirmed in your written arrangement.
Refund terms for the agreed arrangement are confirmed in writing before payment. Nothing in these summaries removes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of any private arrangement. If something goes wrong with the service, raise it directly — problems are easier to fix early.
Your written arrangement states exactly what is included: the number of lessons, the written work that will be reviewed, and the period the arrangement covers. Tutoring includes portal access for submissions and feedback. It does not include the future self-paced course, group classes or unlimited marking beyond the agreed scope.
Feedback responds to the writing you submit: comments on specific passages, an overall summary and next actions, discussed in your lessons. Feedback describes your writing and how to improve it; it does not predict or promise an exam score. A specific turnaround commitment has not been published yet — when work is requested from you, you are told when to expect the feedback on it.

Enquiry details and submitted work are used to run the service: responding to you, preparing lessons and returning feedback. Your work is not published or shown to other students. The full detail, including access and deletion requests, is in the Privacy Policy.
The binding terms for using the site and the service are on the Terms page. If anything on this summary page appears to conflict with the Terms or your written arrangement, the Terms and your arrangement prevail.
Tutoring supports skill development. How much your writing improves depends substantially on your own practice, starting point and circumstances. GAMSAT Plus does not guarantee any particular score, score improvement, exam result or admission outcome, and you should treat any preparation service that does with suspicion.
