What the diagnostic is

A structured way to work out what to fix first. Most students can name a vague worry — "my essays feel generic" — but not the specific priority underneath it. The diagnostic questions are designed to surface that priority, and the recommendation tells you what to do about it.

You receive

  • A recommended study focus based on your answers
  • A suggested next step for your preparation
  • A personal reply from the founder by email

What it is not

Not a marked practice exam, not a validated score predictor and not a sales trap. It is a triage step, and it is useful even if you never buy anything.

Where essay review fits

Detailed written feedback on full essays is part of the tutoring service, where your work is read before lessons and discussed with you. The sample feedback page shows that format.

Privacy and consent

The intake asks only for what a useful recommendation needs. Marketing consent is optional and never pre-ticked. Details are handled under the Privacy Policy.

What the recommendation looks at

The diagnostic weighs the same things a first lesson would establish, so nothing about it is wasted if you continue to tutoring.

Timeline

How close your target sitting is, and what that means for priorities.

History

Whether you have sat before and what that experience showed.

Difficulty

Which part of Section 2 is actually costing you: ideas, structure, timing, expression or the Task A/Task B difference.

Support fit

What kind of help would move you furthest, from one focused session to a full arrangement.

After the diagnostic

You can act on the recommendation independently, or take it into a consultation and turn it into a tutoring plan. There is no obligation either way, and no follow-up pressure sequence.
