Ideas stall under time pressure
You understand the quote sets when reading them casually, but under exam conditions the essay drifts or repeats the same point.
One-on-one GAMSAT Section 2 tutoring
GAMSAT Plus is founder-led, one-on-one tutoring for GAMSAT Written Communication. You submit real essays, work through them in private lessons, and finish every session with specific feedback and a clear next action.
Who this helps
Most students preparing for Section 2 are not short of advice. They are short of someone who reads their actual writing, explains what is holding it back and shows them what to practise next.
You understand the quote sets when reading them casually, but under exam conditions the essay drifts or repeats the same point.
Paragraphs start with intent and then lose their job. The essay reads as a list of loosely related thoughts rather than one developing response.
You have received marks or corrections before, but nothing explained what to do differently in the next essay, so the same problems repeat.
What the experience looks like
Tutoring runs as a repeating cycle: you write, your work is reviewed before the lesson, the lesson works through the reasoning with you, and you leave with a summary and specific next actions in your student portal.
Upload an essay or planning task before the lesson so the session starts from evidence, not generic theory.
In a private lesson you examine what the writing is doing, why it works or breaks, and how to make the next attempt stronger.
Feedback is tied to specific writing decisions: interpretation, structure, examples, reflection, clarity and timing.
After each lesson you receive a summary and a short list of concrete actions to complete before the next session.
Not generic essay marking
A marked essay on its own is a verdict. GAMSAT Plus treats your writing as the starting point of a lesson: the feedback is explained, questioned and turned into practice you actually do.
You talk through the reasoning behind each comment in the lesson, so you understand the decision, not just the correction.
Between lessons you revise or attempt new writing based on the feedback, and the next session builds on what changed.
Because the service is founder-led and one-on-one, every lesson builds on your history rather than starting from scratch.
Rather than broad promises, you can read a fictional worked example of the feedback style: an annotated essay excerpt, an overall feedback summary, a revised paragraph and a lesson action plan.
Tutoring students use a focused student portal: essay submission, feedback history and next actions. A separate self-paced course is planned but is not part of the current tutoring offer, and access to it is managed separately.
Honest positioning
The service is deliberately small: one founder teaching a limited number of students, one at a time. That shapes what is promised.
GAMSAT is administered by ACER. GAMSAT Plus is an independent tutoring service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ACER.
Next step
The first step is an initial consultation or a short application. It exists to work out whether one-on-one tutoring actually suits your situation before any arrangement or payment is discussed.
One-on-one places depend on the founder's current teaching availability, which is confirmed during the consultation.
Written work you submit for a lesson is reviewed as part of the tutoring cycle. Exactly what is included in your arrangement is confirmed at the consultation before you pay anything.
Yes. First-time sitters usually start with foundations: understanding the tasks, planning and paragraph control. The consultation works out the right starting point.
